This little woman here is starting to get back in to her biggest love.
Thank you so much to all for caring.
It has been a rollercoaster few months in our life.
I am now just by myself with my baby boys and we are doing ok. It's busy but we are happy.
I have been taking a much needed break from work to care for my boys and I, re-home our little tribe and start new beginnings.
CHAACHEE is well on its way to getting back on board and I thank you all from the bottom of our hearts xxxxxxxxx
As the upcoming arrival of our newest little Chief creeps closer I find myself preparing for the nesting mode.
I can't help but be physically reminded (mostly from my penguin waddle) that this baby is on his way!
Because against my own creative & more so my natural instincts taking over I am literally slowing up. Seriously you should see me cut patterns it's a funny sight! ;) So therefore production time is also slowing down. At this stage of the game I have increased the Order to Shipping time frame to 14-19 working days just as we come up to a close for maternity leave.
I will be officially going on Maternity Leave October 2015! The baby does not arrive until end of Novemeber early December. Then I plan on having a summer break.
I will still be available for contact via all social channels and will post, share moments and I won't help but create while having time off.
Lots of LOVE
ChaaChee Chief - Kendall 💋

Are you what I consider a D I Wifey?
My husband is a big man. Smart, active, strong. But he's not exactly Bob the builder. Don't get me wrong now we have bought our first house he is soooo getting in to that whole DIY thing blokes do but its certainly not imbedded in his genes.
Me on the other hand I'm a doer. I'm a get in there, get messy, have a go kind of girl. I'm handy. My friends call me "resourceful". I love creating but oh the things you could do with all the money in the world. Well that's not the case in our house a) because my husband would not sleep at night if I spent irresponsibly on exspensive decor. He's just not any kinds of materialistic plus he would still be happily eating on his little old cane chairs and table dining set if I didn't come in and scrub up his bachelor pad a little and b) I love nothing more than being given the mission of finding a bargain or doing it myself and that is another reason he loves me. Because to be honest I have so many people that think my house items are great (which is awesome) and some designer product, when really I got it on sale or made it myself from scraps, paints or recycled & modernized old decor.
I firstly like to start with the decor item I mostly desire be it any price, mostly the ones I cannot bring myself to spend that kind of money on. Then work from there to best match the look and style, keeping an opened mind as things change slightly to match your ideal budget.
I do DIY as much as I realistically can or hire in a handyman to help with odd jobs (this being my dad mostly;).
I like to keep things very simple and buy feature items.
Buy yourself a lady drill. Best tool I've ever bought! And it's light and girly lol just jokes it's dark green and from Bunnings. I framed my own mirror, I grouted and added my own feature tiles, used the saw on a gorgeous plank of wood that I drilled myself to make gorgeous feature shelves. I painted old pots to modernise them & use to decorate my kitchen and covered most of my pillows with my favourite fabrics. Installing your own blinds with your own drill is a money saver. Instead of entirely replacing your flooring you can lay laminate vinyl strips, gives it a fresh new look if you change your design theme. Searching on all sorts of website stores incl the good old eBay, gumtree, buy, swap & sells. eBay is really good for including postage. Gumtree is really good for company seconds or floor stock. Even with decorations I will try my best to DIY. I made my own phelt ball garland for my sons room and next will be recovering his toy box seat cushion. One of my favourites was renovating my front garden. Doing all the removal myself (well more like the hubbies muscle work pulling out the stubborn old bushes there) and just by talking about it had lovely Agave succulent donations from friends and neighbours, those things can cost a bomb from nurseries and also using and old had its days basket recycling it to house one of my plants. Looks fantastic. Repainted my front stairs and spray painted the latace to give it a fresh new look.
My best advice is to never settle for one option. It always seems harder than it really is to do. But in the end you need to have a passion for it. If not and you have the money to pay a tradie then you're laughing! :)
So... Are you a DIWifey? Hats off to you.
I thought I had this parenting thing all mapped out. Ok I can admit now I was wrong...
Becoming a mummy.
Like all mummy to be's I was so excited. I am very maternal and I had been around babies for as long as I could remember. I nannied, I was an excellent Aunty, I even told my husband "I got this babe, don't you worry". I still to this day cannot explain what happened or is still happening in smaller doses unexpectedly to me.
See I battle day to day with post natal anxiety & depression. It was drowning me, I was sinking and I had no idea how to get rid of it or lessen its painful journey.
This is where ChaaChee enters the picture, my shining light, the cake to this chubba kids heart. See every mum loves dressing their child up, well I do. I just refused to pay the money the cool brands were asking. I don't blame them, every small business needs to get profit some how, outsource, pay their staff and get ahead. So I started making my son his clothes and soon it became my creative therapy, something positive to concentrate on instead of the dark and I was infatuated by it! I loved it. It quickly became a favourite of my friends, then their friends and the rest is history!
I have a passion for this, it brings me joy and I'm good at it. Modest.
By the time you are reading this I would have launched our very first website. It basically is an awesome better version of ChaaChee's Instagram account. I now have reels of fabric and a clothing range starting for this summer 2014. How exciting!
I make clothing items from fabric that I love, that speaks my taste. I also custom make outfits if you need something for a special occasion, I can personalise any piece of my range for your child or a friends, your niece or nephew, a friends new baby or you may be just as obsessed by dressing your own child as I am.
Charlie is my sons name. Do you recognise a ring to it? Charlie...ChaaChee (thanks to a cute little toddler giving me a light bulb moment to name it). My business is dedicated to my son. My love. Not just to dress him but honoring the confusing, amazing, irreplaceable love we share. He is my world and I embrace that everyday and work my little butt off like every other mummy out there.
Here's cheers to ChaaChee, my baby.
I'd love to get in the habit of shouting out to awesome Mummas that deserve the Mummyspiration Award (Mummy Inspiration). Who I look up to and are a shining light. Who inspire me everyday to appreciate life, tolerate that hard times and to collect & cherish the little things. Maybe in earth shaking ways or just the simple things that show love has no bounderies when you become a mummy.
Chance2dance is a dance studio in Newcastle, New South Wales for any children with special needs and the passion for dance to attend. Chance2dance was created by the very wonderful dance coach and amazing Mumma, Megan Sutton.
Only just weeks ago Megan lost her beautiful, spirited, princess of glitter and little sidekick, 20month old daughter Monique.
Love shows no boundaries here as Megan happily & lovingly welcomed Monique in to this world knowing she would be categorised in the medical world as Down Sydrome. In her mummies eyes & everyone she met, perfect. Monique was to bravely battle a heart defect and would be in and out of hospital having many life saving operations.
The endless love and joy these two evidently shared is truly beautiful and has touched countless hearts and it is through honoring her beautiful daughters life Megan has finally been able to bring to life a dance dream she has always wanted.
Chance2dance celebrates pure joy with no limitations! That you can be completely yourself and perform because you love to rather than what your medical records state.
If you follow the hashtag #sprinklewithglitter you can follow & support the amazing this journey of my (& many) Mummy Inspiration Megan. May Monique "Princess of Glitter" and her Mummy inspire us all to not only achieve our dreams but to wake up each morning with a grateful heart.

Since my son has graduated in to a toddler and any day now will be getting his new "big bed", as currently he holds me hostage in my 'big bed' - did I mention all night?! That means fun time for mummy. Redecorating time!
I am utterly obsessed with monochrome black & white atm, with pops of colour and patterns. Love! So when my Instagram feed is jam packed with amazing interior decorating ideas or decorative feature items I start to collect a dream jar of favourites.
Urban Walls is one of them. 💕
All things shapes! I love the concept and passing so many window displays with them as well they look fantastic.
Now to choose! Keep you posted.
